Increase System Speed

How to Speed-Up your PC.

What speed you are talking about if you upgrade your RAM it does not mean your system will be fast in all blocks. Eg system never uses more than 10mb of ram to startup so there will be no change in your system in this block.

To improve your overall system speed
1. Download CC cleaner it removes unwanted junk in easy steps. From http://www.ccleaner.com/

2. Download prefetch utility and set ENABLE BOOT PREFETCHING so your boot process is fast from http://www.majorgeeks.com/Prefetch_Utility_d4942.html

3.Go to "Start-->Run" and Type defrag c: -b to defragment the Boot and Application Prefetch

4. Download User Profile cleaner to make shutdown faster from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Microsoft
-User-Profile-Hive-Cleanup-Service.shtml

These utility will help you gain some speed also use lightweight AntiVirus softwares the best i think is AVAST Home edition
--Its free
--Less resource eater
--Residential shield rocks
--Internet Shield
--P2p Shield
-- Customizable skins.
-- Daily updates some time every 2 hour.
and more features like schedule scan on windows and boot time scan,
Totally it rocks go for it you will love it www.avast.com
also download update and install them both, and first do a full system scan to see how much virus your system silently holds.

Also use Spybot S&D to remove most of spywares out there dont forget to up date get it from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Last but not least use Dr.Web CureIt! to clean almost each and every unknown adware, Spyware, Trojans and worms from http://download.drweb.com/drweb+antivirus+free+services/#0

Iam sure after doing all this your system will improve a lot on performance.

For extreme Tech geek

Hidden Folder

Simple Folder Hide:

Dude its an easy way to make a folder undetectable even when view hidden folder option is on. Because its logically not hidden but..., Confused ok ok follow the below tweak to know how,

1. Right click in any place in your drive and choose New-->Folder .
2. Now press Alt+0160 for the folder name and enter to assign (you can see nothing but there is an invisible character its not magic we just used ASCII Codes for naming).
3. Finally right click the folder we just created and choose property, Navigate to CUSTOMIZE TAB and you can see Change Icon button at bottom now you can choose a icon which has no image you find it near that lock icon or sure you can find inside it just search for it.

Thats it, now you have a simple folder with no icon or name which is almost an hidden one. If you create it in desktop it will be shown for a couple of second before it hide when you log in so better put into a folder.

Common Lock

Common Lock:
----------------

I dont know why but quite often in my friends system they loose "FOLDER OPTION", "RUN COMMAND", "TASK MANAGER(ctr+alt+del)" and "REGISTRY EDITOR" or at least any one of them. So always i use notepad to make a tweak in registry and run it so now i have created a tool for the purpose.

or
http://www.2shared.com/file/3397547/f0909f90/Common_Lock.html

Note: You Need 7Zip to unzip it.Some antiviral softwares like bitdefender etc.. may say your file as virus since it contain registry key tweaks nothing to worry i guaranty you nothing like that at least up to my belief.
